Herzing Student— independent

What should you ask a Herzing admissions adviser?

Ask for the Graduate Catalog's placement pledge terms in writing. That is the single most valuable question on this page, because the catalog governs the promise and the marketing page does not reproduce it.

The other eight below are the ones that most often change a decision after the fact.

The four that decide the money

Which exact award am I being quoted for, and how many credits is it? Routes differ substantially and the difference is thousands of dollars.

What is the current per-credit rate for that award, and what fees sit outside it? Then: what will you accept in transfer credit from my prior coursework, assessed before I enrol rather than after? And finally, is this institution on my employer's tuition assistance list?

The three that decide whether you finish

Is my specific track on the eligible list for the Clinical Placement Pledge? Not the subject area, the exact award.

What does the Clinical Guidance Process require of me, and by what date for my intended start? And: what does preceptor availability look like in my state for this specialty right now?

The two nobody asks

If Herzing places me, what is the furthest I could be sent, and is that written down anywhere I can read? The public page states no distance.

And what happens if Herzing cannot place me either? No remedy is named publicly, so ask what the catalog says.

How to use the answers

Write them down with the date and the name of the person who gave them. If an answer differs from what this site or any other says, the school is the authority and we are not.

If an adviser cannot answer the catalog question, that is itself information. Ask for it in writing before you sign anything.

Should I ask about preceptor availability before enrolling?

Yes. Preceptor supply in your state and specialty is the fact that decides whether Herzing's premium is insurance worth buying or money spent on a risk you never carried.
